Senior Scientist

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to join our growing research team. This role will play a key part in advancing our scientific programmes and contributing to the development of innovative solutions in our field.

As a Senior Scientist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, execute and analyse experiments, helping to translate scientific discoveries into practical applications. You will also provide technical leadership within the team and contribute to the overall research strategy.

This position is ideal for an experienced scientist who enjoys both hands-on research and mentoring others, and who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, plan and execute complex experimental studies.
• Analyse and interpret scientific data, drawing meaningful conclusions and insights.
• Contribute to the development and optimisation of experimental methodologies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including researchers, data scientists and external partners.
• Mentor and support junior scientists and research staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, protocols and results.
• Present findings internally and contribute to scientific publications or reports where appropriate.
• Ensure research is conducted in accordance with relevant regulatory and quality standards.

Your Experience

• PhD (or equivalent experience) in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in leading or contributing to advanced research projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience designing and executing experimental protocols.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings clearly.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary research environment.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior scientists.
• Familiarity with industry-relevant technologies, tools or methodologies.
• Experience contributing to publications, patents or scientific presentations.
